Prisoners of Hope

In the midst of this trial,
 Let us know Your peace.
In the midst of this bondage,
 Let us know Your freedom.
In the midst of this heartache,
 Let us know Your love.
In the midst of this darkness,
 Let us see the Light.
In the midst of this sorrow,
Let us forever be filled with Your joy.
In the midst of this searching,
Let us find You over and over again.
In the midst of this poverty,
Let us be reminded of our eternal riches.
In the midst of this pain,
 Let Your healing flow.
In the midst of this loneliness,
Let Your presence be made known.
In the midst of this great longing,
Let our hearts be satisfied in You.
In the midst of this confusion,
Let Your word bring clarity.
In the midst of this life,
We are but prisoners of hope.
And eagerly we await the day,
When our eyes fixed on You
 Shall see no other.
 For in that day
 We shall see Jesus,
 Our freedom,
 Our hope.

You Know Me - Bethel Music

You have been
And You will be
You have seen
And You will see

You know when I rise and when I fall
When I come or go, You see it all
You hung the stars and You move the sea,
And still You know me

You know me

You have been
And You will be
And You have seen
And You will see

You know when I rise and when I fall
When I come or go, You see it all
You hung the stars and You move the sea,
And still You know me

You know me

And nothing is hidden from Your sight
Wherever I go, You find me
And You know every detail of my life
And You are God and You don't miss a thing

And nothing is hidden from Your sight
Wherever I go, You find me
And You know every detail of my life
And You are God and You don't miss a thing

You know me
You know me
You know me

You memorize me

Summer days
In a distant land.
Evening walks to unknown places.
Kisses in a stranger's garden,
In between hopeful words
Of an unseen future.
Hours that could go on forever.
You were there.
Always close,
But never close enough.

1987

Father, You formed every part of Ruth
And saw that it was good.
You knitted her
Alongside me
In our mother's womb.
I thank You Jesus
For you made Ruth;
Fearfully and wonderfully.
Your words spoke life into her body,
Formed perfectly,
Intricately crafted in Your hands.
Truly wonderful are Your works, oh God!
Ruth's life a reflection of this.
In the secret place
You created her for good works;
Her hands to bring forth new life
And her mouth to speak the Truth.
Compassion, love, kindness and gentleness,
Creativity, tenderness, strength and faithfulness,
Humour, generosity, wisdom and understanding
Intricately woven into her being
By You, her Creator.
You knew her days before she saw the light
Yesterday, today and tomorrow,
Each held in Your hands.
Your presence constant
Through them all.
Oh Lord!
How precious she is to You,
Your love towards her immeasurable,
Unchanging.
 Ruth, in Jesus
You are free to be all He created you to be.
Great are the works of Your hands, my God!
